Warranty and Care

CARE GUIDE

How do I clean my jewellery?

Sterling Silver and Solid Gold (9k, 14k, 18k offerings)
Sterling silver and solid gold pieces can be cleaned using a polishing cloth or ideally a jewellery cleansing solution. Although these pieces are made using solid Australian metals, we still recommend removing them while bathing, showering and/or engaging in physical exercise. This will ensure both the metal and/or stones and diamonds used remain in pristine condition for years to come.

Gold Vermeil
While our gold vermeil items are of the highest quality, they are not indestructible. These pieces should be cleaned gently with a dry, soft polishing cloth (with no jewellery cleansing solution added). Do not use abrasive clothes such as tissue paper or paper towel. As with all non-solid gold or silver pieces, the metal coating will eventually wear away and will need to be replated every few years.

Please note that improper care will not be considereed a manufacturing fault.

When should I remove my jewellery?

We recommend removing your jewellery when you shower, bathe and swim (in both chlorinated or sea water) as moisture will damage your plating (Gold Vermeil items).

Please avoice spraying perfume and chemicals (cleaning and others) and applying creams, lotions or oils directly on your jewellery. This will ensure that your plating lasts for as long as possible.

Barefoot and Blonde also recommends removing your jewellery while engaging in exercise and/or gardening. While very durable, our jewellery is not indestructable and may break if pulled during vigorous activities.

WARRANTY AND REPAIR

Do you offer a warranty on ready to wear and bespoke pieces?

All Barefoot and Blonde ready to wear jewellery (Sterling Silver and Gold Vermeil Pieces) are subject to our six (6) month warranty policy and will cover the piece under normal wear. If a manufacturing issue is found upon inspection, we will repair the damage without charge and cover the relevant shipping charges. If the ring, earrings or necklace is noticeably bent, damaged, or shows sign of improper care upon inspection (including impropor wear for gold vermeil and plated items), we will repair the item at a cost.

All Barefoot and Blonde bespoke jewellery (Solid Gold pieces) are subject to our six (12) month warranty policy and will cover the piece under normal wear. If a manufacturing issue is found upon inspection, we will repair the damage without charge and cover the relevant shipping charges. If the ring, earrings or necklace is noticeably bent, damaged, or shows sign of improper care upon inspection, we will repair the item at a cost.

Please note that with both collections (ready to wear and bespoke) lost, damaged, or chipped diamonds and/or gemstones and are not covered under our warranty. In the event of a diamond and/or gemstone falling out or becoming damaged, we highly recommend personal insurance.

All Barefoot and Blonde warranties will be void if you take your piece to another jeweller for resizing or repair work. Barefoot and Blonde does not take responsibility for work carried out by other jewellers.

If your jewellery has arrived in damaged or incorrect, faults must be reported within 3 business days. After this time, Barefoot and Blonde will not be liable.
